About

So, I guess you want to know more about The Stale Popcorn... well, running a TV and film blog has always been a passion of ours. We both love to watch TV, and we both go to the cinema at least once a week--ahem--cheap day Tuesday and the occasional Orange--now EE Wednesday.

We love to talk about and discuss our favourite TV programmes and films, and we understand that not everyone will agree with what we say, so we're an open forum for YOU to give us your opinions too!

Also, this website was born on the 28th of April, 2014.

Kerry Cook
Film and TV blogger

Kerry has always been a TV junkie and from a young age her Mum would always complain about the amount of time she spent sat in front of the TV. She developed her love for film later on when she started going to her local independent cinema with her Mum. She loves to watch Fantasy Films and TV Shows the most and can't even count the amount of times she's seen Harry Potter.

Kerry also has a love for British TV programmes and loves watching episodes of classic comedies like 'Black Books', 'The Royle Family', 'The Mighty Boosh' and 'The Thick of It'. Along with  British dramas like 'Skins', 'Monarch of the Glen' and 'Life on Mars'.

Kerry also loves cartoons and animated films and fell in love with Studio Ghibli the first time she watched 'Spirited Away'. She's now trying to build up the full collection of Ghibli DVD's and has 9 of them so far; her favourite is 'Howl's Moving Castle'.

Kerry's love for Film and TV has led her to pursue a degree in Film and English Literature which she'll be starting this Autumn and she can't wait to learn all about how films are made and most importantly how best to analyse and critique them! ;)

Joseph Eastwood
Film and TV blogger

Joe loves watching fantasy/supernatural based TV and film, he'll try any TV program once, and gives all film a go--except for horrors, he needs two cushions and someone else with him for a horror, unless it's Hannibal, he can watch that on his own--but only just.

Joe also loves to watch cooking programs, often from the Food Network; 'Cutthroat Kitchen', 'Chopped', 'America's Worst Cooks', 'Diners, Drive ins, and Dives', and 'Cupcake Wars'.

Did you know... the Food Network follows Joe on Twitter! *ahem* claim to fame!

Joe prefers American TV to the British TV--often staying up until 3/4AM so that he can watch his shows from America. He's very much living on American time, which will prove useful when he visits this summer (2014).
