Top 5 Archers in Film

Archers are in right now... well, they have been for the past couple of years, so here's my countdown of my top FIVE archers from film.

#5 - Neytiri
Zoe Saldana from the 2009 CGI masterpiece, Avatar. She comes in at FIVE on my list of top archers--well, she's quite an aggressive killer, she'd probably try and attack me if she didn't rank at all.

Well, we only have to wait another two and half years until the anticipated sequel, Avatar 2. Oh, and according to IMDb, there are four Avatar films, 2 to 4 are all in pre-production. Well, this is exciting news.

#4 - Susan Pevensie
Portrayed by actress Anna Popplewell (let's take a moment to make sure we read her last name properly. Hmm, yep.) The second eldest of the Pevensie children in The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. She is seen as the gentle one, but with a bow in hand, she's anything but.

#3 - Merida
While I'm not a huge Disney fan, I did really enjoy Brave--finally, a Disney film with a strong female lead; a female lead with a bow and arrow. I think Disney put this film out while there was the huge "archery" boom on our screens. She makes the third female on the list.

#2 - Legolas
Oooh! A male... but I have to tell you that the main reason he's here is because he's Orlando Bloom, enough said. Nah, Legolas is a great archer, and you can see the determination to kill in his eyes--although granted, that's not the only reason someone would use a bow and arrow, just the main one.

#1 - Katniss
Jennifer Lawrence. That is all. She's a great actress, and she has a huge personality off-screen, which is always a plus in deciding these things.

Katniss is my #1 choice, mainly because she comes from NOTHING, everyone else on my list is either royalty, high born, or rich. Katniss is poor as shit, and she has to hunt/kill to survive--basically the entire storyline.

I didn't include...
I didn't include Hawkeye or Oliver Queen from Arrow; in order, I don't think Hawkeye is a good archer; yes, he hits his marks, but his technique is sloppy and unprofessional; you'd think someone who portrays and archer would at least take a few classes so that they can sell and cement themselves in that roll... I guess not. And I would've included Oliver Queen, however, he's currently not in any films, and I'd have a hard time slotting him between my current choices.

You're Top 5?
C'mon, I wanna know...

Game of Thrones S04E06 - Review

Aired: 11th May, 2014

Network: HBO

Cast:  Peter Dinklage, Lena Headey, Maisie Williams, Emilia Clarke, Kit Harington. (More information.)

Summary: Seven noble families fight for control of the mythical land of Westeros. (IMDb)

Genre: Adventure | Drama | Fantasy

Pre-episode thoughts: Last week's post was a long post; a lot happened to reveal some important plot points, especially around Sansa--escaping, but now she's with that crazy aunt and I think she might kill her. Also, I read a few articles about Littlefinger's lies that he's been telling... and there's a lot, I can't keep up. They need to backfire on him soon.

Bran saw that funky tree--I want to know more about this, and from what I hear, there's much more on this tree within the books, but I've sworn to watch the TV series only while it's aired, and then I'll read the books afterwards.

I want Daenerys to kill someone with her hands--or a sword, not with her dragons, when she does this, I think her "innocent power thrusted" act will have worn off completely, and she will then be quite a powerful killer, and maybe people will take her seriously.

Where's Melisandre at in all of this though? She's the demon-witch-bitch lady, surely she's figured out some spell/calling/chant/ritual for her king to sit in the Iron Throne.

*spoilers*

Episode Six: The Laws of Gods and Men

Last week when I said that I felt the episode was shorter, well, this episode felt a lot longer--perhaps because they got through more storylines.

It was only in last week's episode that they mentioned the Iron Bank, and this week we get to see it... well, the face of it, and it wasn't all too impressive. I wanted huge iron doors and gates, and a dragon protecting it (oh, crap, I think that's Harry Potter). Stannis was asking for them to bankroll him.

From the scenes preceding that, I gather that Stannis has their backing--right? I hope so, his scenes are usually quite boring, but they could be so much better, he has Melisandre for crying out loud, she could just kill all the major players with that shadow-demon-baby-man-thing, and I don't see why she doesn't.

Yara Greyjoy makes a surprise appearance--a small "hey guys, don't forget about me, I'm still a character don't cha kno", and I did almost forget about her. They were given Theon's mutilated penis as a present. I'm very glad they didn't show us that--it might have been a little bit too far.

The scene in which Yara tries to rescue Theon from Ramsey's clutches lasted a whole of two seconds--it was a little bit rushed, but I think that it was a well-needed scene. I'm really excited about seeing more from this storyline, mainly because Ramsey scares the shit out of me.

Tying into the being scared shitless was the DRAGON! I knew it was too quiet to be a GoT scene. Hence the image to the left, I did see a dragon--a real scary, fire breathing one.

Part of me is hoping that they grow bigger, also, I want Daenerys to ride one, but I doubt she will (if she does in the books, please tell me, I need to know.) She's also becoming quite the queen, and here's hoping that G. R. R. Martin makes it so.

Tyrion is so SASSY! But Shea needs a slap, how could she stand up and tell the court that Tyrion and Sansa were planning to kill Joffrey, although I think if anything the person who did kill Joffrey deserves to inherit the kingdom--it makes sense, kill the king to be king OR queen.

Favourite Scene

Purely based on the creep factor, I have to say it's the scene between Ramsey and Theon. Ramsey is quite a creepy actor, especially when he was in Misfits--but his body is quite on-point, and that's what I like in my pathological killers. And at one point I really thought he was going to make Theon is bitch--and thank goodness he didn't, my mum was watching with me. *cue awkward eye contact* HA!

What We Thought?

Below are both Joe's thoughts and Kerry's thoughts, their overall ratings are out of 5.

Joe thought...

I went into this film wanting to absolute love it, I know I wanted this film to be absolutely amazing--I wanted it to be the type of film I could watch over and over again, but the truth is, it almost fell flat. So, whilst writing this, a phrase on the TV I'm using as background noise said "looking at it through rose-tinted glasses" and that is definitely what I did with this film.

Most of the scenes from the trailers were the best parts of the film, and that's usually the case with all films--although in a lot of films, there are also other scenes which you don't know about happening. However, saying that, I did find this film really funny, and Zac Efron's body was is a huge plus, also, I would definitely watch this film again.

There were parts of this film that hurt my stomach because I was laughing so hard--I mean, that boob scene, I'm laughing thinking about it.

So, that boob scene was my favourite scene from the film, that, and also the scene where they make moulds of their penises--you need to watch it to understand. However, this film could've been so much better--if there wasn't an underlying story bleurgh, the seriousness to the film just bogged me down slightly, and I wish they didn't do that. I want comedy--I want to laugh at every scene, not roll my eyes because they film is sucking at my soul.

...why I gave this film FOUR out of FIVE.

Honestly, before going to watch it, I was going to rate this film at a FIVE... but, I felt there were quite a few things that didn't sit well with me, and to give it five would make me a little bit of a hypocrite. Lisa Kudrow's appearance in this film was a major plus, let's thank the Friends gods for not making her just a supporting actress.

Kerry thought...

I was pretty excited for this film - I LOVE Zac Efron and Dave Franco is great and always brilliantly cheeky. The trailers set up for a side-splitting comedy where many hilarious things go wrong and to be completely honest that was pretty much what it was, however it didn't quite float my boat.

A lot of films like this often seem to fall in to the trap of using all their funniest scenes in the trailer and in my opinion that is exactly what this film did. Scenes that had me howling with laughter in the trailer (like the thing with the airbags) just weren't as funny the second time round in the film and when there aren't any even funnier scenes to make up for that, it makes the whole thing pretty disappointing.

Furthermore, the 'boob' scene that Joe mentions as his favourite was probably my worst; it had me cringing all the way through and even knocked me a little sick. I'm hoping other girls can relate to my reaction to this scene - but guys, I can imagine it's maybe similar to when you watch a guy get seriously hurt in the groin area. Just not nice to watch really.

Also, it all became a bit sinister at some points when you consider that this family actually have a very young baby and were spending far too much time at their neighbour's house taking drugs and exacting revenge.

...why I gave this film THREE out of FIVE.

Don't get me wrong the funny bits of this film were hilarious and the comedy acting was superb. Couldn't fault Seth Rogan or Rose Byrne and I've already mentioned my strong feelings towards Zac Efron and Dave Franco. I also absolutely loved Lisa Kudrow's little cameo as the badass Dean of the College and she was probably my favourite character. It gets three out of five because the funny bits don't make up for how uncomfortable I felt a lot of the time; although a lot of that is down to personal taste.

Noah - Review

Release: 28th March 2014 (USA)

Director: Darren Aronofsky

Duration: 138 minutes

Cast: Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly, Anthony Hopkins, Emma Watson, Ray Winstone, Logan Lerman. (more information)

Synopsis: A man is chosen by his world's creator undertake a momentous mission before an apocalyptic flood cleanses the world. (IMDb)

Genres: Action | Adventure | Drama

Before I start what is likely to be a pretty negative review I just want to say that I wasn't looking forward to watching this film but it wasn't as bad as I'd expected. I was worried it would be very religious and Christian but it wasn't at all, it's actually highly accessible for everyone and makes a great action adventure with a little fantasy thrown into the mix; the word 'God' is never actually used. On the other hand you should also know that Joe fell asleep during this (which explains his absence from this review).

One of the big problems I had with this film is that Noah is a complete idiot, seriously he is really stupid and kind of creepy and it is massively annoying to watch. He spends the majority of the film convinced that the whole of the human race (including his family and himself) are awful and must die in order to cleanse the world. The rest of the film then mainly consists of a very angry and bitter Noah making stupid and utterly wrong decisions based on his philosophy whilst constantly reminding his relatively innocent family that they are horrible things that don't deserve to live. Nice. None of this is helped of course by Russell Crowe's pretty lacklustre acting which just makes Noah even more annoying. The main reason this is all SO annoying is because *SPOILER* Noah and his family survive, because the human race is still here and we're watching the stupid film about a stupid man who is convinced he's going to end the human race. How stupid.

Another problem I had with this film, but which might not bother a lot of people, was the amount of fight scenes in it. It might be a girl thing, but I get very bored of watching men rolling around in mud and blood punching at each other for 10 minutes over and over again. My final big problem was that I was pretty disappointed with the supporting characters, the film has a great cast which made me really excited to see what all their characters would be like. However, I found a lot of the characters to be pretty bland and when it came to emotional scenes I didn't really believe the performances and actually found myself laughing at some points. Also, NO FUCKING UNICORNS! What the heck is that about?!

It wasn't all bad: Ray Winstone was the ultimate villain as Tubal-cain - scary and with no real regard for anyone but himself; and the film was brilliantly made with some beautiful shots and scenery and some great interesting fantasy elements in the stone angel-men. If you enjoy action films and fighting you'll probably enjoy this, it won't be the best film you've seen this year but you'll learn a lot more about a story you were taught when you were young. It gets two stars from me because I really didn't enjoy it - I can't enjoy films that frustrate me and make me angry, if you can put up with that, and I'm sure a lot of people can, then you might enjoy it.

Genres: Comedy | Romance

What We Thought?

Below are both Joe's thoughts and Kerry's thoughts, their overall ratings are out of 5.

Joe thought...

As soon as I saw this trailer in the cinema I said "I need to watch this", granted, most of my reason for wanting to watch this was for Nicki Minaj, and even though she was only given a few speaking lines, I still absolutely loved this film, and her few speaking lines... in fact, I loved the whole casting of this film, and I loved the roles that they played.

Cameron Diaz as Carly, the lawyer, Leslie Mann as Kate, the housewife, and Kate Upton as Amber, not quite sure what she did, other than be very attractive.

I found myself laughing all the way through this film, and found it even funnier because it was Jamie Lannister, ahem, I mean Nikolaj Coster-Waldau who was being "tortured" by these three women.

If you've watched this, then please, in the comments section below, tell me what your favourite parts of this film were.

I have two favourite scenes:
When Mark (Nikolaj) gets diarrhea in the restaurant, and then shits himself. I'm one of those quite immature people who laughs are fart jokes, and this definitely cracked me up for a solid ten minutes.

The second scene that made me giggle was when Mark's nipples were weirdly huge and his wife, Kate (Leslie), flicked them and he covered them up and called them sensitive.

...why I gave this film FIVE out of FIVE.

It was so funny. I absolutely loved this, and I will definitely be watching it again when the film comes out on DVD. I thought it was quite interesting with how they wrapped the film up, especially the last sequence. It's a feel good film, as well as a wine and ice cream post-breakup film.

Kerry thought...

Just like Joe, as soon as I saw the trailer for this I knew I had to watch it and I knew I would love it. The thing that drew me most to this film was that I absolutely love Leslie Mann, I think she's hilarious and adore the sweet, ditzy, slightly sarcastic characters she so often plays (I especially loved her in This Is 40). Just as I'd hoped she was brilliant, I really loved her character and her dog! Cameron Diaz was also great, never failing to pull off ridiculously sexy characters, as Carly she made the perfect sassy, feisty leader of the pack. Finally, Kate Upton, who I'd never seen in anything before, played the perfect 'dumb but pretty' character that set up for loads of laughs - and when I say pretty I obviously mean absolutely smokin' hot!

The concept for this film is one that's been done time and time again: that someone is behaving unnecessarily badly and a group of people decide to get revenge. It's a great concept that always sets up for hilarious consequences, and I have to say this is probably one of  the best films of this style I've seen in a long time. Not only do the women play some hilarious tricks on Mark the evil husband (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) they also completely out-play him at his own game which I thought was great as it brought an extra level of intelligence to a film that would otherwise just have been a long string of hilarious disasters (not that there's too much wrong with that either).

...why I gave this film FOUR out of FIVE.

I loved the girl power in this film and came out feeling pretty liberated and proud to be a woman. I also really enjoyed the film and found it so hilarious to watch so many bad things happen to the bad guy in ways that often reminded me of Mean Girls. The only reason it doesn't get 5 out of 5 is because it didn't quite live up to my expectations (which were probably admittedly a little too high) and I have seen comedies this year that made me laugh just a little bit more. Still I have to stress this is a great film and so funny and I would highly recommend it to anyone - I will definitely be getting the DVD when it comes out!

Gotham - Trailer Talk

Release: Autumn 2014 (US)

Director: Danny Cannon

Cast: Donal Logue, Sara Paxton, Jada Pinkett Smith

Synopsis: The origin story behind Commissioner James Gordon's rise to prominence in Gotham City in the years before Batman's arrival. (IMDB)

Genres: Crime | Drama | Fantasy

For those of you that don't know (I didn't until yesterday when I watched the trailer) Gotham is a new TV series coming to Fox this Autumn based on the origin stories of James Gordon, Bruce Wayne and Batman villains such as, Penguin, Riddler, Catwoman, Two-Face, The Joker and Poison Ivy. Before I continue, here's the extended trailer which was released a couple of days ago.

I think you'd be kidding yourself if you said that you weren't even a little bit excited about watching this. I have to say I love a good crime series and have been waiting for something new and Gotham definitely looks like its going to fill that void, and then some. The crime element is going to be great, but it's going to be even greater to see batman villains we know and love (or love to hate) in a whole new way; I personally can't wait to see some of them as kids!

A TV show with a story as high profile and well known as this does run a danger of being cheesy and not living up to expectations. However, I think we have to trust Fox, Warner Bros. and DC Comics on this one, because the trailer looks awesome and I can't wait.

Thoughts?

Friends: Which One Are You?

As you might already know, it's been TEN WHOLE YEARS since Friends finished... 236 episodes and 10 seasons later, and it finishes. I had only just started High School when this finished, and I was born in 1993, when the series started in 1994.

I still grew up watching this show i.e. the endless re-runs. I don't think I've ever watched every single episode, but I'm sure that one day, I will get there, and it will be a glorious moment.

If you click the link above it will take you to an awesome Buzzfeed quiz, all credit goes to the creator of the quiz... my outcome was...

Joey

I always found Joey to be quite gormless--and at points, yeah, I can definitely agree... so, which character did you get? Comment below.

Salem S01E03 - Review

Aired: 4th May, 2014

Network: WGN America

Cast:  Janet Montgomery, Seth Gabel, Shane West, Ashley Madekwe. (More information.)

Summary: Set in the volatile world of 17th century Massachusetts, 'Salem' explores what really fueled the town's infamous witch trials and dares to uncover the dark, supernatural truth hiding behind the veil of this infamous period in American history. In Salem, witches are real, but they are not who or what they seem. (IMDB)

Genre: Drama | Sci-Fi | Thriller

After last week's episode, I didn't waste any time in watching the next episode as soon as it was aired. I'm beyond excited about this series, and any future installments of the series; which if successful, there will be more of. I think that it's unfair that this is in competition with Game of Thrones, Devious Maids, The Good Wife, and Revenge. However, with both The Good Wife and Revenge finishing, and Game of Thrones being at the midpoint of its season, they'll soon be the frontrunner of the Sunday show. I'm excited to see where this show is going.

Pros
Mary Sibley was talking about the Grand Rite again. YAY! That must mean that there's going to be more deaths, and I cannot wait to see all the different and creative ways of how she's going to kill people. I like how there are a few different witch characters; the ugly ones, the pretty ones, the blind (seer) ones, and the ones with animal carcasses on their heads--each have distinctive looks, and they add to the coverall creep factor of Salem.

George sticking his fingers down his throat to get the frog out--this gives the programme a lot of realism as it's something that anyone under the circumstances would do. And that scene right at the end--eeek!

Even though it's only the third episode into the series, I feel like I'm already in the setting and era. It makes me want to go to the place where it was filmed and take a tour, or just be an extra because of how well placed and set the scene is.

Mary Sibley told John she couldn't protect him--let's hope he leaves.

Cons
I have to mention it, again, and I hate mentioning it because it makes me sound like a hater, and yes, there's some hate, but only because I've seen some really good acting from him... if you've been reading my reviews, then you'll know this is about Shane West. That acting... it's inexcusable. Adding that Mary told John she wouldn't protect him. Definitely because of the shoddy acting.

Something else that I wanted to see some more of was the fact that there was no other villages around. Surely there are witches in other places, but at the same time, I'm not quite show how far developed America was in the 17th century.

My predictions are...

More people will die... and we'll probably enjoy watching it. There was a significant drop in viewers from first episode to second episode, I hope it picks up a greater following, because I know it could be quite great--dare I say, if it was under a different production company--ahem, HBO.

Your thoughts?

Game of Thrones S04E05 - Review

Aired: 4th May, 2014

Network: HBO

Cast:  Peter Dinklage, Lena Headey, Maisie Williams, Emilia Clarke, Kit Harington. (More information.)

Summary: Seven noble families fight for control of the mythical land of Westeros. (IMDb)

Genre: Adventure | Drama | Fantasy

Pre-episode thoughts: A lot happened last week, including that ending that even had the people who'd read the books stumped, and knowing that they were stumped was a good feeling, but at the same time, it means that we don't have answers, or a name for these new creatures.

I'm excited about Daenerys, and I know that in the books she's still not sailed across the sea to try and take over the Iron Throne, so what I'm thinking is that she won't want to take over the throne and instead, she'll want to be the leader of where she is now; after all, she has the dragons.

We might see more of Bran. I almost forgot about him again, but I'm sure he's still got an important role somewhere, especially since they made a huge deal about him last week.

*spoilers*

Episode Five: First of His Name

This episode felt a lot shorter than it actually was. I didn't think it was 50 minutes long, but it was.

After last week with the Cersei and Jamie thing and the whole internet blew up about whether it was right or wrong etc. I'm going to stay out of that argument and take it for what it was; a raw scene depicting how powerless Cersei is, however, in last night's episode, we see Cersei talk to Margaery Tyrell after seeing her smiling and nod to the new king of Westeros.

I don't know what Cersei's motives are for endorsing Margaery to her father so that she may wed her son, the new king. Hopefully we'll see what's to come of that, I don't think Cersei wants what she says she wants, although the main reason for the marriage is because of the Tyrell's money.

We visit Sansa, in the dreaded Eyrie. That hole in the floor makes me feel a little queasy, it's not even seeing it, it's just knowing that it's there. And definitely foreshadowing of things to come; someone has to be killed that way. I kind of want it to be Sansa, I feel like she's one of the most passive characters on the show, and I wouldn't mind if G. R. R. Martin killed her. The scene between her and Lysa Tully scared me; Lysa is crazy, and it makes me theory that Sansa will be killed by her hand.

I love that Daenerys meme. She's apparently only 18 in the books, and I can kind of see that--she's maturing somewhat from the first season, and you can see this with her scene.

She has a counsel of people to help her with difficult decisions, and it's almost like she's gathering her own strategists for when she sits on the Iron Throne--which I would love nothing more than to see, but I don't think she will. I don't think G. R. R. Martin would ever let us have this, however, what I do think he'll let us have, is Daenerys becoming a monster with the power that she's garnering.

So, it looks like Jon Snow knows some things, except he's completely oblivious to his younger brother, Bran's whereabouts, even though he was in the vicinity. Bran's making a comeback after last week when I wasn't even aware he was still alive. There's a strange scene where Jojen sees a tree behind Bran, and says a couple of really cryptic lines about finding that tree, known as a heart tree.
Favourite Scene

Like I said above, Jon Snow knows some thing... example, he knows how to use a sword; sticking it through the skull of a man so it came out through his mouth. All that blood, all that gore. It made me feel quite sick, but at the same time, I loved the scene.

The Wind Rises - Trailer Talk

Release: 9th May 2014 (UK)

Director: Hayao Miyazaki

Duration: 126 minutes

Cast:  Joseph Gordon-Levitt, John Krasinski, Emily Blunt
(more information)

Synopsis: A look at the life of Jiro Horikoshi, the man who designed Japanese fighter planes during World War II. (IMDb)

Genres: Animation | Biography | Drama

This film already has Golden Globe and Academy Award  nominations under it's belt, but even without them I would have been confident of it being another beautiful and brilliant masterpiece from the genius that is Hayao Miyazaki.

For me, the excitement I feel for this film is very bitter-sweet; being such a fan of Hayao Miyazaki's films, I've always hoped there would never be a 'farewell' one. However, it's not the end of Ghibli films and I'm sure that this film being Miyazaki's final one, will mean that if possible, even more hard work and love has gone into making it a farewell to remember.

The English dub for this film stars two of my favourite actors: Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Emily Blunt, along with many other talented actors. Although I do love Ghibli's fantasy-based stories the most, the plot for this film looks interesting and from the trailers the animation looks beautiful - making it appear to be just as magical as 'Spirited Away', 'Howl's Moving Castle', 'My Neighbour Totoro' and so on.

I know a lot of people place animation in a 'just for kids' category and might not be planning on watching this film, but I would really urge everyone to go and see it. Studio Ghibli's films are always deep and meaningful stories with vibrant, often quirky characters and are always beautiful things to watch; and I'm positive that The Wind Rises will be no different.

Will you be going to watch this?

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Trailer Talk

Release: 8th of August, 2014

Director: Jonathan Liebesman

Duration: not yet released

Cast: Megan Fox, Will Arnett, William Fichtner, Whoopi Goldberg. (more information)

Synopsis: Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. The future is grim until four unlikely outcast brothers rise from the sewers and discover their destiny as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Turtles must work with fearless reporter April O'Neil and her cameraman Vern Fenwick (Will Arnett) to save the city and unravel Shredder's diabolical plan. (IMDb)

Genres: Action | Adventure | Comedy

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have always given me shivers. Maybe it's because turtles are creepy looking anyway, not to mention they're now huge ninjas--and that huge rat thing *shudders* anyway, I want to watch this film because there's quite a lot of big names, and I want to know what they're doing about the image of the turtles.

As soon as I saw Michael Bay's name, I rolled my eyes, I can only hope and pray that this film won't be a two hour headache like some of his other films. The old saying go big or go home doesn't apply with Michael Bay because he does both, he goes big in all of his films, and then hangs his head in shame as he leaves a cinema screening.

The turtles look good. The trailer doesn't give much away in terms of plot, this is always something I like to know a little about when I've watched a trailer; it gets me interested, and without interest, I don't have much desire to watch a film.

I could easily forget about this film, and I probably will do.

Guardians of the Galaxy - Trailer Talk

Release: 1st of August, 2014

Director: James Gunn

Duration: not yet released

Cast: Chris Pratt, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Karen Gillan, Zoe Saldana. (more information)

Synopsis: In the far reaches of space, an American pilot named Peter Quill finds himself the object of a manhunt after stealing an orb coveted by the villainous Ronan. (IMDb)

Genres: Action | Adventure | Sci-Fi

When I first saw this trailer in the cinema, I was a little apprehensive of it, and Kerry had told me that she'd seen an image on Tumblr, and it was talking about all the different films with guardian in the title, and I hadn't thought about it, but there's been loads of them.

Anyway, I thought this film was a little bit of a parody because of tall those guardian titled films. However, after finding out that this was a Marvel film, I took it a little bit more serious.

Take a look for yourself...

Yes, yes, 100x yes!

I don't know what it is about this that I love so much, but I'm a huge fan of seeing character profiles and seeing creatures that can talk--added bonus, they're in a prison with other creature criminals, and it shows how extensive the work and attention to detail is, which I except nothing more from Marvel.

I'm not sure whether Kerry will be watching this film, but I'll be in America when the film comes out, so there's no pressure on her watching it as I won't be around. I definitely want to watch this film, and I can't wait to see more in terms of plot from this film; so far, the trailer shows us bits and pieces from a huge battle/fight, but I want to know why, and it can't just be because of this orb as the synopsis suggests.
