First thing first, I absolutely love witches, and I've even written a fiction book on witches, so when a friend of mine posted to my Facebook wall the trailers, I was beyond excited.

Have you watched the trailer yet?

I'm stoked to see how the series plays out, my only issue was Shane West's acting; he's the protagonist in the series, he's somewhat a focus point, but it seems like his language, mannerisms, and other character traits are just not believable for someone of that era, and it's very distracting. I loved him in Nikita, but within Salem, I think they could have spent their money casting someone that could act instead of someone who was "famous".

My thoughts...

Interesting premise. I like that they're playing on the history and also that there's a twist on that history. I will stick the rest of the series out, and try and make sure to keep you updated on my thoughts.

I thought some of the parts were super creepy; lizard with its eyes stitched shut, swallowing frogs, having teets on legs, that creepy girl when she was crawling.

All of the above make me shiver like crazy. Oh, and a bonus is that I love the graphic title card placed above. I love the typography for "SALEM".

Did you watch this pilot?
Are you going to continue watching?
